The Marian Consort | Rory McCleery
Description:
Marian Consort's latest work is "Bird"! A collection of masterpieces written for "secret Catholic services"! The Marian Consort has established itself as the new star of the next generation of a capella groups in the UK, a country that has produced some of the world's leading choral groups, and is a symbol of a new era in the choral kingdom. Following "In the Footsteps of Sorrow" (PDCD 34215) and "Father, I Am Against Heaven" (PDCD 34205), the latest recording by the Marian Consort is a collection of masterpieces such as "Mass in Four Voices" created by William Byrd (1539/40-1623), a Catholic, out of his passion for the faith. The latest recordings are masterpieces of William Byrd's passion for his faith. In England at the time when the Church of England excluded Catholics and the Church of England and Catholics were mixed, he composed music for the Church of England while secretly remaining a Catholic, but in 1585 his name was included in the list of those who avoided the Church of England. Despite being tossed about by the times, Byrd remained true to his Catholic faith and lived through the turbulent times. It is very well known that he continued to write Latin masses and motets for the "secret services" held in the private residences of Catholic nobles, and his works composed for Catholics continue to be regarded as his masterpieces. Since its inception, the Marian Consort has always considered the music of the English Renaissance, especially that of Byrd, to be one of its most important repertoire, and this "Secret Adoration" is a work of great confidence that has been fully realized. This time, "Secret Worship" is a work of confidence that has been realized with full confidence. Please look forward to it! Tokyo M-Plus
