A program for “Advent” performed by the Oxford Merton College Choir, founded in 2008 under the musical direction of Peter Phillips and Benjamin Nicholas, two giants of the British choral world. The chaplain of Merton College commissioned works from Skempton, Tavener, Dubra, Jackson, McDowell, Martin, and Essenwalds, resulting in the collection *Seven Advent Antiphons*. This program, spanning from Byrd to MacMillan, is unique to the Merton College Choir, which boasts a history of 750 years. Under the exceptional leadership of Peter Phillips and Benjamin Nicholas, the Merton College Choir has rapidly risen to become one of the UK’s leading college choirs.
