Although Catolini is an expert in contemporary music, she possesses a voice that is equally at home with the standard repertoire. Her voice is free of any unpleasant quirks, and her technique—which allows her to control her voice with complete freedom—is truly remarkable. We welcome the release of this contemporary music album, which showcases her voice in all its authenticity. Laura Cattrini was born in Rimini, Italy, in 1975. She studied at the Milan Verdi Conservatory, graduating with highest honors in vocal performance and chamber vocal music. She performs a wide-ranging repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary music. During her student years, she attracted attention with her stunning performance of Berio’s *Sequenza III*. She also studied acting at the Paolo Grassi Theater School, where she established a unique style of expression that fuses movement, breathing, and voice. Since 2018, she has served as a workshop instructor at the Milan Conservatory of Music (Verdi) for students in the composition and vocal departments, dedicating herself to nurturing the next generation of artists.
