Warp is proud to announce the release of the debut album by Caribbean-Belgian composer and musician Nala Sinefro, who has signed with Warp and is expected to take her music to the next level! Caribbean-Belgian composer and musician Nala Sinefro has signed with Warp and released her debut album! Combining contemplative sounds, jazz sensibilities, folk music and field recordings, Nala Sinefro has created a unique worldview. Her debut album, Space 1.8, was written, produced, performed, engineered, recorded, and mixed to completion when Sinefro was 22 years old. He plays modular synths and pedal harp on this album, and is joined by friends James Morrison, Shirley Tete, Nubaiya Garcia, Eddie Hick, Duane Kilvington, Jake Long, Lyle Burton, and Rudy Creswick. After an energetic live career in London, Nala Sinefro has made a name for herself on the UK jazz scene, and has been named one of the "Artists to Watch in 2020" by The Guardian, and has received enthusiastic support from Giles Peterson.She is also a popular resident DJ at NTS, and now that she has joined the innovative Warp label, there are high expectations for her to make further progress from here.
