A new series of anthologies of songs from the century from 1810 to 1910, "100 Years of Songs" is a grand new project started by King's Consort's own label "VIVAT", which traces the history of songs in the decade from 1810 to 1910. The fourth volume in the series is a selection of songs composed during the decade "1840-1850. Centered on Schumann's Leaderlieder, Op.24, the series also includes Mendelssohn from Germany, Franck from Belgium (France), Dalgomirsky from Russia, Donizetti from Italy, and the little-known Swedish Romantic composer, Ardolf Fröhdrik Lindblad, Jacob Axel Youssefson, and Erich Gustav Jaehl, and a comprehensive overview of the musical heritage of the 19th century. This program is the result of the deep insights of Malcolm Martineau, a virtuoso musician and song specialist.Including the famous Austrian baritone Florian Bösch singing Schumann's "Leaderkreis, Op. 24," Samuel Hasselhorn of Germany, who won first prize at the 2018 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition (voice category), and Anoush Hovannisian of Armenia, The singers include Samuel Hasselhorn of Germany, winner of the first prize in the Queen Elisabeth International Vocal Competition in 2018, Anoush Hovannisian of Armenia, Ida Evelina Lenslave of Sweden, and Alexey Gusev of Russia.
