Donizetti has composed more than 200 songs. This is the fourth volume of his complete songs project. The prolific and versatile Italian composer Gaetano Donizetti, one of the central figures in Italian bel canto opera, composed more than 200 songs, most of which were rarely performed and some of which were completely unknown until recently. Most of them were rarely performed, and several were completely unknown until recently. The album is supervised by musicologist Roger Parker and features piano accompanist Giulio Zappa, who has worked as a piano accompanist for operas and as a coach at the Vienna State Opera, La Scala in Milan, and other famous opera houses. Opera Lara will release a series of eight recital albums of complete solo songs. The project is a strong statement of the importance of Donizetti as a central figure in the 19th century song repertoire and of the Italian school of music in a field long dominated by German and French composers. Marie-Nicole Lemieux is a renowned mezzo-soprano known for her powerful voice and impressive operatic singing.
