Lazare Lévy (1882-1964), known as a famous piano teacher, has recently been reevaluated as a performer with the discovery of new recordings. In addition to his solo performances, this CD includes valuable recordings of Mozart chamber music with conductor Fernand Ouvrardot and others, and accompaniment by Georges Jouat (1892-1969), a tenor who was very active in Europe in the 1930s and whom Yoshiko Furusawa heard in Paris and was deeply moved by his music.
