Biscuito Fino is pleased to announce the release of a new Paulinho da Viola album by Cristovão Bastos, a top Brazilian MPB pianist who continues to perform at a high quality level, and veteran saxophonist/flutist Mauro Cenizi. Mauro Cenigi has previously released themed albums such as Johnny Alf, Edu Lobo, Tom & Jobim, and film music, but this time he has teamed up with the energetic pianist Christovan Bastos to present a collection of music by Paulinho da Viola, who is turning 80 years old. This time, he has teamed up with the energetic pianist Cristóvão Bastos to pay homage to Paulinho da Viola, who is now 80 years old. Paulinho da Viola is known for his style that combines graceful and melancholy melodies, soft voice, and his own samba rhythms, but Paulinho's works played on piano and flute show a new and unprecedented expression.
