This new album celebrates the 80th birthday of pianist Amilton Godoy, founder of the Jimbo Trio and active from the jazz samba era to the present. The trio is led by Sidiel Vieira (bass), who has visited Japan many times to support Dani Gurgel and Sadao Watanabe, and Edu Hibeiro (drums), one of the most talented Brazilians who also plays in Trio Cohenchi, etc. The album also features Gabriel Grossi of Gaita, and his son, the saxophonist Cico, who has played with the trio for many years. The trio is led by Edu Hibeiro (drums), one of Brazil's most talented drummers, who also plays in Trio Cohenchi.
