Hailing from Laguna Beach, California, TYSEGALL is a garage-psychedelic maverick leading the U.S. indie scene. From the noisy impulses of their 2012 album *TWINS* to the pop-oriented explorations on their 2025 album *POSSESSION*, they have consistently evolved their unique sound throughout their prolific career. Together with longtime collaborators—keyboardist BENBOYE, drummer EVANBURROWS, bassist MIKALCRONIN, and guitarist EMMETTKELLY—they’ve built a robust ensemble that absorbs everything from proto-punk to grunge, continually bringing a fresh aesthetic to the contemporary rock scene. Conceived immediately after the release of their previous album and brought to fruition through full-band sessions, this 2026 release was produced by COOPERCRAIN of BITCHINBAJAS and recorded in just six days at SONICRANCH Studios, pushing the band’s physical dynamism to its absolute limit. With MATTYOKA and DENEESEGALL also contributing to the songwriting, the album presents one of the heaviest soundscapes of their career—a swirling vortex of dark, apocalyptic energy that weaves together social phenomena and dreamlike mental landscapes. Featuring nine tracks in total—including “BLACKPAINT,” where twin guitars explode with fuzz—the album is filled with a dark, apocalyptic energy driven by a heavy rhythm section that cuts through an unsettling atmosphere. The band’s raw, visceral energy and the screeching friction of distorted guitars fill the space, directly stirring the listener’s primal instincts. This album perfectly balances the band’s unity—forged through years of touring—with a refined aesthetic of noise.
