Recorded in a monster session at Studio One organized by Chinese-Jamaican record producer Philip Stanford Justin Yap, this is one of the best recordings ever made.In addition to five original songs by Don Drummond, "Marcus Junior," "The Reburial," "Confucious," "Chinatown," and "Smiling," the album also features a cover of Duke Ellington's classic "Caravan," a cover of Duke Ellington's "In A Mellotone," "Surftide Seven," and "Ringo," a cover of Hibari Misora's "Apple Chase. In addition to "The Reburial," "Confucious," "Chinatown," and "Smiling," the album also includes a cover of Duke Ellington's classic "Caravan," "Surftide Seven," a cover of Duke Ellington's "In A Mellotone," and "Ringo," a cover of Hibari Misora's (composer: Masao Yoneyama) "Ringo Oiwake," as well as an arrangement by David Whitfield, the British ballad singer from the 1950s. The album also includes a cover of "China Clipper" by pianist/arranger/orchestrator Paul Conrad, known for his arrangement of 1950s British ballad singer David Whitfield, and a cover of "Lawless Street" by Roland Alphonso. Limited 180g weight vinyl reissue.
