Moreover, with these two pieces—which allow you to fully appreciate the virtuosity of the legendary duo that took the world by storm with the magnificent “Philadelphia Sound”—this release is perfectly suited for a SACD hybrid format. *Thus Spoke Zarathustra* is the second of three recordings by this duo (the first was released by Sony in 1963, the second by RCA in 1975—this recording—and the third by the former EMI in 1979). *The Organ* is the third of four recordings (the first was released by Sony around 1956, the second by Sony in 1962, the third by RCA in 1973—this recording—and the fourth by Terak in 1980). This SACD hybrid disc features source material licensed from Sony Classical and released by Dutton in the UK; in addition to the stereo audio, the SACD layer includes a 4-channel (QUADRAOHINIC) multichannel audio track. All tracks were remastered by label owner Michael J. Dutton from the original analog masters.
