British singer/songwriter/musician Andy Kunta's only album from 1986 is reissued in a deluxe edition. Andy began his career in the early 70's with the Factory and Hazel O'Connor's bands before meeting and partnering as a songwriter with Chris Thompson, vocalist for the Manfred Mann Earth Band, in New Zealand in 1982. At the same time, he became keyboardist for the legendary Australian melodic rock band Icehouse, supporting them during their most popular and acclaimed period, writing the hit song "Crazy" from the album "Man Of Colours". After leaving the band, he pursued a career as a composer, writing songs such as John Farnham's mega-hit "You're the Voice," which has been covered by Heart, Chris Thompson, David Foster, and countless others. This is his only solo album, recorded in Los Angeles in 1989.The full-length album featuring Jeff Skunk Baxter (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan) and Scott Page (Pink Floyd, Supertramp) is also very popular, and disc 2 contains 15 songwriter demos featuring vocals by Chris Thompson and others. For 80s melodic music lovers, this is the bomb release in a long time!
