Description:
On November 23, 2011, the soprano singer Monserrate Figueras passed away, much missed by fans of classical music around the world. In memory of her and her husband, Jordi Savall, who led the world of 20th century classical music with their clear voice, Aria Vox is releasing an album of excerpts from her many recordings from the 1990s to the present. The title of the album, "The Emotion Voice," is exactly the same as the title of the CD released in the 1990s. The name has been retained at the behest of none other than Savard. The most attractive thing is that you can enjoy Figueras' clear and soft voice in the beautiful sound quality of the SACD! The album also features the beautiful ensemble with her husband, Savard, and the harmony with Esperion XXI and La Capella Reial de Catalunya, which he leads, and allows us to feel the trajectory of a master singer who established an era in the world of ancient music. The ALIA VOX label has been releasing SACD hybrids of past recordings, including Figueras' masterpieces, under the title of the "Heritage Series," and this album is a compilation of excerpts from the Heritage Series. Religious music, secular music, and Catalan folk music, all of which are synonymous with Figueras... Figueras' diverse appeal is condensed in this 2-CD, 35-track set. This is a masterpiece worthy of recalling the voice of Figueras, which continues to shine even today. King International
