Flute and organ duo Eolene record works from the 16th and 17th centuries! Formed in 2017 by flutist Charlotte Schneider and keyboardist Guy-Baptiste Jacotet, Duo Eolene explores the music created by the combination of two instruments, focusing on repertoire from the 16th and 17th centuries, which they have arranged into duo versions. Their music, based on historical performance methods, is compelling, and they masterfully express the different characters of the various musical styles of their time. The flute (traverso) is played by seven different instruments, each used in different ways to suit the piece. The organ is also played on an instrument built in 1999 by Jürgen Arendt, one of the best organ builders of our time. The crystal clear sound of the flute and organ beautifully mingle in the monastery church in Päijärne, Switzerland. King International
