Description:
As the title suggests, the songs are taken directly from the Hyakunin Isshu poem and sung with piano and guitar accompaniment (in the style of French pop). The music is basically composed by Remi Svet on guitar, 97 and 98 songs are by Reiri Taniguchi, Lutormi, and 52,57,84,86 songs are set to French traditional songs. Hiromi (Hiromi Maekawa) graduated from Toho Gakuen School of Music (while in college, she worked as a singing sister on the NHK educational program "Purupurupun"). She then studied at the Milan Conservatory of Music and performed opera and religious music in Italy, and is currently active in the fields of jazz and Italian pop music. Reiri Lutormi Taniguchi was born in Niigata, Japan, and studied piano at the Kunitachi College of Music and its graduate school before completing her studies at the Ecole Normale in Paris.
