Description:
This is the third (and final) volume in a series of performances of various concertos by Handel (1685-1759) by German pianist Matthias Kirschnerite on modern piano. This release includes six pieces from Op. 7, which was originally written as an organ concerto. Handel wrote this concerto for organ, two oboes, two bassoons, string orchestra, and basso continuo in order to achieve a rich acoustic. In this performance, the melody is exquisitely arranged to bring a contemporary sound, while taking advantage of the improvisatory nature of the melody.
