The Declaration of Finnish Independence, which proclaimed Finland's independence from the Russian Empire as a constitutional monarchy and its full autonomy, was adopted by Parliament on December 6, 1917. This day marks the anniversary of Finland's independence and the day when the Finnish people took their destiny into their own hands. This box contains five CDs of Finnish classical music written during the first 100 years after independence in 1917, divided into genres.
