The MDG label has previously released bassoon-focused albums such as the Goltberg Variations ( MDG. 90319146) by the Bassoon Ensemble and the Gürzenich Bassoon Quintet, but this time, she performs arrangements for bassoon of works for solo flute by J.S. Bach, C.P.E. Bach, and Friedrich Kuhlau. Celeste Marie Roy is a member of the Baroque Society of America. Celeste Marie Roy is also an accomplished baroque bassoonist, and her virtuosity and lightness of touch on the modern instrument are well demonstrated.
