For more than 30 years, the Trio Parnassos has been captivating audiences with its high level of musicianship and virtuosity, and has recorded a wide repertoire of works for the MDG label, from trio masterpieces to newly discovered secret pieces. The Trio Parnassus has recorded a wide range of repertoire from trio masterpieces to newly discovered secret works for the MDG label, and this album features the Piano Trio in E-flat major, Op. 38, which the composer himself arranged from the Seventh Quartet, Beethoven's first big hit in his career, and the Sextet for two horns and strings, performed by Nikolaus Zimrock (horn player, friend of Beethoven and founder of the music publisher Zimrock). The Trio Parnassus and the Trio Trio in E-flat major, Op.81b are arranged for piano, viola and cello by Nikolaus Zimrock (hornist, friend of Beethoven and founder of the music publishing company Zimrock). This completes the series of recordings of Beethoven's trios by Trio Parnassus and MDG. King International, Inc.
