Description:

Ferdinand Sor, the "Beethoven of the guitar," is a composer who lived from the end of the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century, and is known as one of the composers who raised the musical level of the guitar as high as possible and wrote the most music for the guitar. He is known as one of the most prolific composers of music for the guitar. The 24 pieces were selected by the performer Bungarten from a large number of written exercises. Although Yepez and other guitarists had previously recorded similarly selected editions, Bungarten's consists of pieces that convey the excellence of a wide variety of works rather than pedagogical considerations. The album is full of Sol's extracts, including melodies and gorgeous technique. The album has long been considered a classic by guitar-loving users, and this is its long-awaited re-release.
