Having garnered attention for his autobiographical lyrics and delicate indie pop sound, he has now released his latest album, *SWEETFORTUNE*, on which he contributed to a Grammy-winning album and discovered and created a new sound as both an artist and a songwriter! The vinyl LP is also being released simultaneously!! Ryan Beatty, a singer-songwriter, producer, and lyricist originally from California and based in Los Angeles. He garnered high praise for his 2018 debut album *BOYINJEANS*, which featured prose-like lyrics exploring his own loneliness and struggles with sexual identity, paired with a lo-fi pop sound. He also drew attention through collaborations with Blockhampton and Tyler, the Creator, and continued to refine his lyrical world, sound, and vocals on his 2020 second album, *DREAMINGOFDAVID*, and 2023’s *CALICO*. He shot to the spotlight in 2024 after secretly contributing to the production of Beyoncé’s smash-hit album *COWBOYCARTER*. Having provided four tracks for the album, he ultimately helped her win the Grammy Award for Best Album. Now comes his latest album, *SWEETFORTUNE*. No matter how immense his mainstream success may be, his approach to his own music has remained unchanged. While his 2023 predecessor, *CALICO*, took a restrained singer-songwriter approach, this new album—while retaining elements that build on *CALICO*—has evolved into a unique sound unlike anything else in today’s pop scene.
