A Commemorative Album Marking the 75th Anniversary of the Tragically Short-Lived Genius’s Birth Michael Levin was the only student of the renowned Juilliard School professor Garamian to be recognized as “a flawless, naturally perfect violinist.” To commemorate the 75th anniversary of his birth, we are releasing a collection of rare, previously unreleased recordings. He passed away suddenly at the young age of 35, and since he had stayed away from recording for the last 10 years of his life, his surviving recordings are extremely rare. This album features a lineup of must-hear performances for fans, ranging from his days as an 11-year-old child prodigy, through his golden age captured in Brooks Smith’s legendary recordings, all the way to his final live performance in 1971.
