Boccherini left over 160 string quintets! The Elisa Baciocchi String Quintet is an ensemble formed by the Valenti family, an Italian musical family. The quintet has been active in Italy and abroad as artist-in-residence at the Lucca Chamber Music Festival, and has also recorded Boccherini's "Op.42" (C00364). The "Op.60" recorded here is missing the "No.4," but was supplemented by Claudio Valenti of the Elisa Baciocchi String Quintet. These works were written for two violins, two violas, and a cello.
