Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 5 "Emperor"", one of the most brilliant masterpieces in the history of music, is arranged for piano, flute and string quintet by Ignatz Moscheles, a Bohemian-born Jewish musician who was a close friend of Beethoven's. The "Emperor" in chamber music version is a remarkable recording! At the time, Beethoven and his works were the perfection of musical art, and his figure and music embodied the Romantic ideal of the artist hero fighting fate for the sake of sublime artistry. At a time when virtuosos were praised for creating new versions of their works by arranging them for their own performance, Moscheles, whose talent Beethoven recognized and to whom he addressed his last letter, and who was known as one of the greatest virtuosos of his time, created the "Emperor" with piano, flute, and string quintet. The string quartet reinforces the treble and bass parts, the flute provides diversity and strength in the upper register, and the double bass gives rich depth to the lower register.The recording of Moscheles' version of "The Emperor" and the chamber version of the three overtures with piano and flute was made by Fabrizio Datelli, a talented pianist and professor at the Perugia Conservatory in Italy, and Anne Lokken, a viola player who also played with the Orchestra of the Florence May Festival, world-renowned musicians such as Gabriele Ragghianti, principal double bassist of I Solisti Veneti.
