Two piano version arranged by Rheinberger & Reger! The Golberg Variations by the Italian piano duo! One of the absolute masterpieces of keyboard music and one of the pinnacles of keyboard technique, Bach's "Gortberg Variations" is endlessly significant for all performers who work on it and for those who hear this collection for the first time.Originally written for harpsichord with two-stage keyboard, it was arranged in 1883 by Joseph Rheinberger (1839-1901), a master of Liechtenstein, for performance on two pianos as a way to solve the problem of crossing hands, which is unavoidable when playing on modern pianos. The Italian piano duo has released a new recording of the "Golberg Variations for Two Pianos," originally arranged for two pianos by the great Liechtenstein composer Josef Rheinberger (1839-1901) in 1883 and later revised by the great German composer Max Reger (1873-1916) in 1915. The two-piano version of the Goltberg Variations was created by Rheinberger's "pious arrangement" as a tribute to the great Bach in order to make musicians and music lovers aware of this "true treasure of house music". The duo Monti-Bianco, based in Naples, Italy, will play the Goltberg Variations in two-piano version.Formed in 2007 by Federica Monti and Fabio Bianco, who both received their diplomas from the Conservatorio di Musica San Pietro a Maiella, the duo Monti-Bianco has won prizes at the Rome International Piano Competition in 2009 and 2011, and the Bradshaw Buono International The duo has won prizes at the Rome International Piano Competition in 2009 and 2011, the Bradshaw Buono International Piano Competition in New York, and other competitions.
