The term "frontier psychedelic/garage" is becoming more and more common today, and this compilation can be regarded as the pioneer of the "frontier" genre. This is a compilation of the crazy, enigmatic performances of crazy guys from all over India who gathered for a band contest started by the Indian tobacco company SIMLA in 1968. The contents are full of natural mistakes that cannot be found in the U.S. and the U.K., such as the electric guitar that pulls down Indian scales with the same technique as the Ventures, simple melodies, and good R&B punk that makes you move your hips unintentionally.Legends have long followed this compilation that it was not actually recorded in India or that such a contest never existed, but it is widely known among garage/psychedelic lovers that its contents are out of the ordinary. There have been various Asian garage compilations, but this Indian mystery garage compilation should be obtained without any questions asked!
