Megumi Fujita's Chopin, Exercises! With Japanese commentary! Megumi Fujita was born in New Zealand to a diplomat, and studied with John Shaggy in the United States and Agnes Bashir in Baghdad. She later studied at the Menuhin Conservatory in England, Tel Aviv University Graduate School in Israel, and the Royal College of Music Graduate School in England, and won prizes at numerous competitions including the Bösendorfer International Competition, Pitina Piano Competition, and Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition. She is also known for her activities as the Fujita Piano Trio with her sisters Arisa Fujita (vn) and Honoka Fujita (vc). The Fujita Piano Trio has been highly acclaimed in the UK and elsewhere since their debut concert at the Wigmore Hall, London, in 1999.Megumi Fujita, who has released solo albums of Rachmaninoff (IMCD 097) and Beethoven (IMCD 114) from Intim Musik in Sweden, presents her new recording of Chopin etudes, Op. 10 and 25.
