Timothy Fallon Records Respighi Songs! SACD hybrid release. Tenor Timothy Fallon, whose talent is recognized even by Marek Janowski, garnered attention with his recording of Liszt’s song cycle (BISSA-2272), and now he has recorded Respighi. While Respighi is best known for his “Roman Trilogy,” he also composed many beautiful songs characterized by their richly colorful melodies. The texts are by Antonio Rubino (1880–1964), Ada Negri (1870–1945), Carlo Zangarini (1874–1943), and the Symbolist Gabriele D’Annunzio (1863–1938), showcasing Respighi’s diverse style and broad literary inspiration. Timothy Fallon is an American tenor who studied at The Juilliard School. After studying under Marilyn Horn, he won the 2013 Wigmore Hall Art Song Competition and has since performed with world-renowned conductors such as Masaaki Suzuki, Helmut Rilling, and Marin Orsop. He possesses a voice with a wide dynamic range, ranging from an elegant, velvety brightness to great intensity. He brings Respighi’s art songs to life with his rich expressiveness. King International
