She is six years older than Beethoven, but it is noteworthy that she is already showing a Romantic sensibility. Montgerud is considered the first female professor at the Paris Conservatory I, and she left a significant contribution to piano education in France. Her collection of exercises, "The Complete Teaching Method for Piano Education," consists of 114 pieces and is said to be very practical and effective. However, with the advent of Liszt and Chopin in the Romantic period, piano techniques were revolutionized and more rational techniques were woven together, so it is rarely used today. However, there is a renewed interest in the jewel of piano music that connects Mozart and Chopin.
