The latest 2017 release from Camerata Nordica, led by world-renowned string orchestra member Terje Tonnesen, is a collection of Mozart serenades and divertimentos, including "Eine kleine Nachtmusik". Camerata Nordica is a chamber orchestra based in Oskarshamn, Småland, southeastern Sweden, and has released several works for strings on the BIS label, including "Tales of Sound and Fury" (BISSA2256), Prokofiev, Hindemith, Webern, Bartók (BISSA 2126), and a Britten album (BISSA2060), among many other discs. This Mozart recording is a real showcase of the group's full potential. Terje Tonnesen studied under Max Rostal and has been the leader of the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra.
