Stravinsky (1882-1971)
Description:
The sound world of Stravinsky perfectly reproduced by the master Gringoltz on SACD hybrid disc. This is the second Stravinsky violin album by Gringoltz. While the first album (BISSA2245) was a collection of Stravinsky's originals and his own arrangements, the second album includes pieces with orchestra, "Divertimento" and "Italian Suite," which he co-wrote with Dushkin from ballet music, and "Tango," which was arranged by Dushkin, This is the complete version. Divertimento" is based on Tchaikovsky, and "Italian Suite" is based on Pergolesi's biography, so there is no shortage of melodic charm. Stravinsky disliked the use of strings, which he considered "too reminiscent of the human voice," and he created a unique sound world that eliminates the element of glossy singing as much as possible. The Gringolts' technique reproduces the sound Stravinsky envisioned. King International
