Brantelid was born in 1987 to a Swedish father and a Danish mother. After receiving his first lessons from his father, he made his concerto debut at age 14 in Copenhagen, performing Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Royal Danish Orchestra; this concert marked the beginning of his career as a performer. He is also dedicated to chamber music, frequently performing with the young violinist Vilde Frang and has released albums with her. We can certainly expect to continue following the passionate performances of Brantelid, who is set to lead the next generation. King International
