The genius fortepiano player Ronald Brautigam recorded Mozart's complete piano concertos in a series. The eleventh volume in the series includes Piano Concertos Nos. 1-4. Although the early piano concertos are rarely performed, Brautigam gives a masterful performance that can be called a rediscovery of the charms of Mozart's child prodigy. He approaches the concertos with a lively and clear touch. The instrument used is a replica of a fortepiano made by Johann Andreas Stein (1788) and a fortepiano made by Paul McNulty (2007).
