Description:
The ultimate touch of fragrance. This is the second SACD hybrid disc of Mendelssohn's Mollifications by the genius fortepiano player Brautigam. Ronald Brautigam, a prodigy in the world of fortepiano, has recorded the complete works for piano solo by Mozart, Beethoven, and Haydn, and has accomplished many other great achievements. The new album is the second collection of Mendelssohn's mute songs. Mendelssohn's pianism is more classical than that of Liszt or Chopin, but it is based on rigorous finger training, which makes it difficult and frightening to cheat. Brautigam is perfect in this respect. Throughout the entire work, he gives a lovely performance rich in nuance, and in particular, the sixth piece in Volume 5, "Spring Song," Op. 62-6, captivates the listener with a delicate touch and pedaling that only Brautigam can express. Please enjoy it together with the first volume (BIS SA 1982), which is now on sale. The instrument is a replica of an 1830 Pleyel fortepiano made by Paul McNulty in 2010. McNulty is not only a man who studies old instruments and creates new ones, but playing his replicas gives me new inspiration in terms of interpretation," said Brautigam about playing and recording with McNulty's instruments. It is clear that Brautiham creates a very natural atmosphere by using instruments in the best condition he can imagine. King International
