It is no exaggeration to say that Kalevi Aho, one of Finland's leading contemporary composers, has become well known through BIS's active recordings of his works. The latest album of Aho's works is the second volume following the collection of organ works (BISSA 1946), which includes the organ symphony "All Things Passing By" (BISSA 1946). The program included various works such as Ludus solemnis, which expresses the solemn world of the organ, "Earthly Songs" dedicated to Aho's father, and "Kontrapunctus XIV" from Bach's Fugue Technique, arranged by Aho. Performed by world-renowned Finnish organist Jan Lehetra.He has released a number of works on the ALBA label in Finland as well as his previous works on Aho. He is a performer of outstanding technique and stability, and his works, especially those from his native Finland, are well received. King International
