Description:

Also performed by Choryang Lin! The most famous Chinese composer Ye Xiaogang's Symphony No. 3 and "The Last Paradise" will be performed by Cerebrière! This disc includes the Symphony No. 3 "Chuxing" and "The Last Paradise" for violin and orchestra by Ye Xiaogang (born in 1955), one of China's most famous composers. Ye Xiaogang studied at the Central Conservatory of Music and then went to New York to further his studies in 1987. Ye Xiaogang gained worldwide recognition when his piano concerto "Starring Sky" was used for the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and was performed by Lang Lang. Symphony No. 3 "Chuxing" Op. 46 was commissioned to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Wuhan Orchestra and was named after Chuxing, a kingdom that existed during the Spring and Autumn period. 7 movements of this work are full of Chinese characteristics, and the folk melodies are very attractive. The "Last Paradise" for violin and orchestra was composed in 1993. The solo violinist is Cho-Liang Lin.Beginning with the microtones of the solo violin, this work has an appealing dynamic orchestration to accompany the violin melody. Enjoy the crisp performance by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra led by Cerebrière. King International
