A refreshing and elegant collection of Vivaldi’s string concertos performed by a Polish period instrument ensemble. The Polish period instrument ensemble Arte dei Sonatori takes on Vivaldi’s concertos for string orchestra. Composed between the 1720s and 1730s, these works were primarily written for outdoor recreational performances, yet they serve as excellent examples of Vivaldi’s fugue writing. It is particularly delightful that the album includes the overture to “In Honor of the Seine,” composed as a tribute to King Louis XV of France. King International
