A difficult piece that is on the verge of physical impossibility. Kaikhosroo Sorabji (1892-1988) was a unique British composer of Indian descent. Among his works, the "100 Exercises" are the most bizarre of his works, revered for their unprecedentedly complex piano techniques and insane length. The Swedish pianist Fredrik Ullén has taken on the challenge of recording the entire set. The first volume (BIS-CD-1373), which contains Nos. 1-25, astonished the world, and this second volume is also a tremendous achievement.
