The Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFO), founded by Ivan Fischer in 1983 with the famous pianist Zoltán Kocsis, is a Hungarian miracle orchestra that has been developed into a world-class orchestra through repeated rigorous auditions. The last volume of Brahms's complete symphonies, "Symphony No. 3," has been released on the Dutch high-quality sound label Channel Classics, six years after the previous release of "Symphony No. 4" (CCSSA35315). On the day before September 1, 2020, when the whole world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and Hungary was in strict lockdown, label producer and recording engineer Jared Sachs successfully entered the country from the Netherlands. Despite being in lockdown, he was able to continue recording and succeeded in recording and recording No. 3.Thus, Ivan Fischer, the Budapest Festival Orchestra, and Channel Classics have put together a complete collection of Brahms' symphonies.
