Rachel Pogger, who serves as concertmistress of the English Consort, among other roles, Rachel Podger—a world-renowned master of the Baroque violin who has continued to achieve international success—has described the “Complete Mozart Violin Sonatas” as “an ongoing journey of discovery for me.” Now, this series has finally reached its conclusion—! “Vol. 7” features “Sonata No. 11” from the “The Hague Sonatas,” composed in The Hague in February 1766; “Two Variations” composed between 1781 and 1782, as well as “unfinished sonatas”—such as the “Fantasia” and “Allegro”—which were originally composed as sonatas but of which only individual movements survive. These works highlight Mozart’s individuality and artistic development, spanning both his early and late periods. ---
