Blondshell, the project of Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Sabrina Teitelbaum—who has grown into a global artist—has released her third album, *Violins*, once again produced by Yves Rothman. Blondshell (Sabrina Teitelbaum) has announced the release of her new album, *Violins*, via Partisan Records. The album was produced by Yves Rothman, mixed by Beatriz Artola, and mastered by Emily Lazar. Following 2023’s *Blondshell* and *If You Asked for a Picture* (2025), she earned global acclaim for her guitar sound—a masterful blend of stillness and movement—and her razor-sharp songwriting, emerging as a new talent on the rock scene. With her third album, *Violins*, she has added even greater depth to her artistry. Teitelbaum has now gained the freedom to express exactly what she wants, exactly as she sees fit. “I felt like I didn’t need to explain anything, and I’ve come to trust the listener more,” Teitelbaum says. “With every album I make, I feel like I’m getting closer to what I really want to create.” Throughout the album’s 11 tracks, Teitelbaum grapples with the question of how to balance violence and beauty in the world, exploring complex friendships, religion, the body, and the long, quiet process of healing. The result is a collection of songs brimming with grandeur, drama, and tragedy, underpinned by her signature, exceptional hooks, uplifting guitar work, and powerful lead lines. Blondshell’s previous albums used romantic relationships as a prism through which to address themes such as power, addiction, and body image, all infused with dry wit, understated humor, and confident, sing-along choruses. Teitelbaum explains that on *Violins*, she sheds the “veil of toxic relationships” to explore these themes. The more mature *Violins* tackles violence, religion, and complex friendships, exercising creative freedom in the lyrics without sacrificing catharsis. A sense of tension between mind and body runs throughout the album. With her signature witty and skillful writing style, Teitelbaum emphasizes the inseparability of mind and body by using food-related metaphors and singing candidly about menstruation. It also incorporates spiritual elements, exploring a personal relationship with a higher power not through organized religion, but through the very act of living in this world.
