Ezra Collective, winner of the 2023 Mercury Music Prize, releases its highly anticipated new album, Dance, No One's Watching, on Partisan Records. Dance, No One's Watching" is a sacred yet joyous ode to dance. Written throughout 2023 while the band toured the world, the album documents the dance floors they encountered. The second single from the album, "God Gave Me Feet For Dancing," calls upon listeners to embrace the act. 2023 was a landmark year for the Ezra Collective, as the band's first album, "Wherever I Go," was released in the fall of 2023. With their critically acclaimed album Where I'm Meant To Be, they became the first jazz artist to win the award in the 31-year history of the Mercury Music Prize.He has sold out every show on his UK/EU/US tour (including 10,000 tickets for headlining shows at Hammersmith & Royal Albert Hall) and won Best Jazz Act at last year's MOBO Awards. He performed one of the most respected sets at Glastonbury, played at Quincy Jones' birthday party, was named Time Out's Londoners of 2023, and closed the year as The Graham Norton Show & Top of the Pops Review's last guest of 2023. They opened 2024 in a similar fashion, being tapped by Daniel Lee to perform at his Burberry x Harrods takeover, and on May 11 they will play the British Library's Beyond the Bassline: 500 Yearsof Black British music" exhibition at the British Library on May 11, and recently appeared on the cover of ES magazine.
