This 180g vinyl reissue of Dexter Gordon's 1975 Copenhagen recording is a superb example of Dexter Gordon's vibrant saxophone playing at his most inspirational period. This studio album by Dexter Gordon, who influenced John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, and others during the bebop era of the 1940s, has been reissued in 180g heavyweight format. This album was recorded in September 1975 at a Copenhagen studio with Dexter's favorite session members, Tete Montreux, NHOP, and Billy Higgins, and was very much talked about at the time, as Dexter Gordon was returning to the US. This album was very much talked about at the time, as Dexter Gordon was returning to the U.S. With Higgins' exuberant rhythms, Pedersen's delicate bass lines, and Montreux's sparkling piano riffs, Dexter's sound reached its zenith. This album is also the only studio recording Dexter made with Tete Montrieu.
