Bach by young female traverso player Aisha Wills! Aisha Wills has been exposed to Baroque music since she was a child! Aisha Wills started playing the flute at the age of 5 and immediately became interested in Baroque music. At the age of 12, she met traverso player Marten Roth in Canada, and at the age of 17, she moved to the Netherlands to study with Roth at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Wills then moved to the Netherlands at the age of 17 to study with Roth at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Her master's program focused on ancient music, and after graduating with honors in 2017, she became a member of the PostScript, an ancient music ensemble founded in Amsterdam in 2018, which won first prize at the Graun Brothers Competition in Germany.Aisha Wills, who was reminded of her love for Bach after hearing Glenn Gould's "Goltberg Variations," says, "Now is the time to record the Flute Sonata," while thinking about what Bach would have done, including naturalistic embellishments in the rhythmic and ensemble flow.
