Argentina's leading bassist, Adalberto Sebasco, who has worked with artists such as Astor Piazzolla, Gato Barbieri, and Rodolfo Alcholon, traces his 30-year career on this new compilation, VOL. 2. His original worldview, which differs from that of Pedro Asnar, has been reevaluated in recent years, and "PAJAROSELECTRICOS" ('88), which also celebrates a Balearic sensibility, has been reissued straight from the source and has been the talk of the town worldwide. This album not only features Sebasco's diverse recordings on the prestigious MELOPEA label with such masters as Baby Lopez Hulst, Funiol Cesari, and Ricardo Nollet, but also includes rare recordings that have not been officially released until now. Also to be heard are the vocals of his life partner Patricia Clark, whose refined technique, clear voice, and rich expressiveness perfectly complement Sebasco's arrangements, sometimes functioning as another instrument.The booklet that accompanies the album contains detailed information about each track, and it is gratifying to note that Lito Nevia contributes a few words at the end that provide context for the album.
