Norwegian pianist Oda Vortesvik will perform works by Grieg and Irish composer Atri Haymir Sveinsson. Although Grieg and Sveinsson are a century apart, they share a talent for combining anxiety and musical poetry. Grieg's collection includes his lesser-known masterpieces and popular Lyric Pieces, while Sveinsson's works convey the spirit of Ireland. Oda Volteshvig's playing and musicianship have been described by renowned conductor Marios Papadopoulos as "a pianist of great sensitivity and beautiful tone (omission), a touch that vividly expresses the texture of the orchestra, and a technique that easily tackles intense and difficult piano pieces," pianist Pianist Gabriele Balducci called him "a musician with great instrumental control and an innate sense of music.
