Norwegian guitarist Ole Matthijn Husel-Olsen is back with his second album for LAWO Classics, "Through a network of illuminated streets" (LWC 1171). Following "Through a network of illuminated streets" (LWC 1171), the LAWO Classics album is titled "Musical Icons" and is based on the theme of icons, symbols of the "mysteries of faith". Icons", a symbol of the "mysteries of faith". A meditative journey into the spiritual and expressive possibilities of the classical guitar. The three meditations in liturgical form inspired by Gregorian chant by Henryk Oudegaard, "Antiphona X" and "Light in the Darkness," a short work on "Hope and Transcendence. The "Small Requiem," written in the form of a "requiem" by Norwegian-born, Polish-born Eva Serafin, is an extremely personal and lyrical work that expresses "vulnerability, strength, sadness, and serenity. Icon with Music," in which Jon Morstad created "icons of sound" from texts and images from "The Bible. Fussell-Olsen has given many premieres of "Works of Today" and has been praised for his "poetic depth and understanding of the essentials."This album is a milestone of his guitar performance and art.
