Legendary members from the early 70's reunite for the first time in 45 years for Santana's hot new album! Carlos Santana, the super guitarist who has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and won 10 Grammy Awards, has released his 24th original album under the name "Santana", which is called "SANTANA IV". This album features the first members of Santana, Greg Laurie (Key/Vo: later joined Journey), Michael Carabello (Perc), Michael Shreve (Dr), and Ni-Lu Schoen (G), who was selected for "Santana III" in 1971 at the tender age of 17. This is the first time in 45 years that the legendary lineup of 1971-72 reunited to produce this original studio album. The album contains 16 tracks in total, and features Ronald Isley of the Isley Brothers on guest vocals on two tracks, as well as Carl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass), who are currently members of the Santana Band.Santana made his name known with his electrifying performance at the famous "Woodstock Festival" in 1969, and his first album "SANTANA" (1969), his second album "ABRAXAS" (1970), which both reached #1 in the U.S., and his third album "SANTANA III" (1971) were the first three albums of his career. The first three albums, "SANTANA III" (1971), were a groundbreaking fusion of blues rock and Afro-Latin rhythms that became synonymous with the Santana sound, and quickly gained worldwide popularity. Many of the songs that have become known as Santana Classics, such as "BLACK MAGIC WOMAN," "OYE COMO BA (Listen to My Rhythm)," and "SAMBA PA TI (Samba for You)," were born during this period.Although all the members of the Classic Santana Band except Neal Schon have participated in the band since its debut, Neal Schon joined the band in 1971 with "SANTANA III", and the following 4th album "CARAVANSERAI" (CARAVANSERAI) was a conceptual work that differed from the previous albums. The fourth album, "CARAVANSERAI," was a conceptual work that differed from the musical approach taken up to that point. The artwork is also reminiscent of the impressive lion painting on the first album, making this new album irresistible to fans of the past.
