Dubioza Collective is a mixed band based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Eastern Europe. They have released their new album "Happy Machine", a catchy, unforgettable and addictive maximalist album that skillfully mixes dance, rock, ska, dub, and more! Inspiration for the album centered on current events of the past two years: the 2013 Turkish anti-government movement, the imprisonment of the founder of Pyrate Bay, a Swedish search site founded by an anti-piracy group, the Syrian refugee crisis and Europe's shameful response to it, and more. The Syrian refugee crisis and Europe's shameful response to it. Guests include Benji Webb and Manu Chao of the UK mixed band Skindred, Punjabi singer BEE2, and Catalan ska rumba band La Pegatina. The lyrics are in English, Spanish, Italian, and Punjabi, making the album borderless, with no nationality or nationality involved.The lyrics are political and critical: "No Escape (from Balkan)" is about foreign migrant workers who come here in search of a better life, and "Free.mp3" sarcastically sings about copyright protection in the digital age.
